Great Eastern Highway grievance

Great Eastern Highway, the major east-west road in and out of WA, runs through the heard of my electorate.

This year the condition of the highway, particularly east of Northam through to Southern Cross and beyond, has deteriorated considerably.

I have raised this with the Minister for Transport, as have many of my constituents and those that use the road.

On 19 October I took the opportunity to make a grievance to the Minister and sought confirmation she would provide funding to resolve the issue.

The Minister undertook to work with the Federal Government to secure further funds for longer-term repairs as well as continuing a permanent paving repair program and fixing potholes as they appear.
